Position Summary: The Business Analyst serves as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that business requirements are clearly defined, validated, and translated into scalable, compliant, and operationally sound solutions.
This role is responsible for analyzing business processes, data flows, and system interactions to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities. The Business Analyst supports solution design, testing, implementation, and post-launch performance validation to ensure initiatives deliver measurable value and align with organizational objectives.
Through structured requirements gathering, data analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and change enablement, the Business Analyst drives operational efficiency, governance maturity, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Detailed Duties/Responsibilities:
• Partner with business stakeholders to identify operational needs and strategic objectives; document, analyze, and validate business processes, workflows, and system interactions.
• Analyze and interpret operational and financial data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities; develop process maps, flowcharts, and other visual documentation to support solution design and decision-making.
• Translate validated business requirements into detailed functional specifications; collaborate with technical teams to design, configure, and implement solutions aligned with organizational objectives, compliance standards, and enterprise architecture.
• Support project planning and execution, including defining scope, timelines, milestones, and success metrics; monitor progress and escalate risks as necessary to ensure timely and effective delivery.
• Develop and execute test plans, including user acceptance testing (UAT); validate system functionality, data integrity, and performance against documented requirements.
• Support change management efforts by developing training materials, user documentation, and communication plans; provide end-user enablement and post-implementation support.
• Monitor post-implementation performance and recommend process or system refinements to drive continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties as required to support organizational priorities and operational excellence initiatives.
Operational Oversight
• Monitor defined performance metrics and operational data to identify gaps, trends, systemic risks, and root causes requiring corrective or preventative action.
• Ensure process designs and system changes align with Operational Excellence principles, minimizing waste, redundancy, scope creep, and control breakdowns.
• Maintain consistent application of enterprise standards, documentation requirements, and governance practices across business units and initiatives.
• Lead and support initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, reliability, scalability, and long-term sustainability, ensuring measurable performance improvement.

Vendor Management
• Serve as the primary liaison between the organization and assigned vendors, leading discussions on system functionality, enhancements, performance issues, and roadmap alignment.
• Evaluate vendor solutions and proposed features to ensure alignment with business requirements, compliance standards, and enterprise architecture.
• Lead new feature and functionality rollouts, including requirements validation, testing coordination, documentation updates, user enablement, and post-implementation performance review.
• Monitor vendor performance against defined service levels (SLAs), support responsiveness, and delivery commitments; escalate issues where service expectations are not met.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to assess vendor-related risks, system limitations, and opportunities for optimization.
Data and Reporting
• Develop and maintain operational reports and dashboards to support leadership decision-making.
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with organizational goals.
• Partner with BI or technical teams to design reporting structures and data models.
• Ensure reports provide clear, actionable insights rather than raw data outputs.
Leadership and Collaboration
• Engage with cross-functional stakeholders to identify business needs, clarify requirements, and align on project objectives.
• Facilitate workshops, meetings, and working sessions to support solution design and operational improvements.
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to ensure solutions are effectively implemented.
• Promote collaboration and transparency across departments to support successful project delivery and adoption.
• Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to leadership teams to support operational decision-making.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• 3–5+ years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, operations analysis, or a related role.
• Experience working with data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SQL, or similar platforms).
• Proven experience gathering and documenting business requirements, analyzing processes, and supporting operational or technology improvement initiatives.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including operations, IT, finance, and leadership stakeholders.
• Experience supporting project implementations, system enhancements, or process improvement initiatives is considered an asset.
