AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring Millwright/Maintenance Technicians for an upcoming 2-4 month assignment in Southwestern Ontario.
You will earn:
- $33.88-$35.13 per hour
- $30 per day non-taxed meal allowance (when lodging is required)
- Paid Travel (up to 4 hours)
- Hotel Accommodations Provided (when required)
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs associated on various machinery in a manufacturing environment
- Install repair and maintain machinery equipment and the facility.
- Write and install custom PLC coding
- Troubleshoot and modify PLC and HMI applications of automated process equipment.
- Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical maintenance
- Use and interpret schematics and blueprints related to plant equipment
- Practice and maintain standard operating procedures and remain compliant with all quality, safety, production and environmental rules, standards and regulations
- Maintain accurate up-to-date maintenance database records
- Demonstrated working knowledge of lock out tag out and confined space entry.
- Experience with rigging of equipment, set-up and alignment of machinery and equipment
- Review work assignments and job procedures to ensure safe and reliable work execution
- Maintain plant equipment at optimum efficiency
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
- Forklift, scissor lift and boom lift certifications (preferred)
- Millwright certification or apprenticeship (preferred)
- PLC technical certification with at least 2 years’ experience as a PLC programmer (preferred)
- Min 1 year millwright experience in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, technical and communication skills
- Fluent command of the English language (both written and verbal)
