Essential Functions:
- Conduct visual and physical assessments of the hotel's infrastructure and systems.
- Perform hands-on work when necessary, especially in small teams.
- Manage routine maintenance and repairs for all areas of the hotel.
- Lead the maintenance department, including Engineers and Grounds Keepers.
- Provide regular updates to management on building conditions and maintenance proposals.
- Adhere to budgets and purchasing policies.
- Maintain effective Energy Management and Preventive Maintenance programs.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Knowledgeable in hotel operations and services.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
Education & Experience:
- Certificate from a Vocational Institution in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical repair preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of manager and/ or 3 years supervisor experience in maintenance and 3 years in relevant trades.
- Current Driver’s License required.
- Certified pool operator certification preferred.
Hours:
- Flexible schedule, including nights and weekends. Must respond to emergencies as needed.
