About the Position
The food runner is responsible for delivering food to guests efficiently and accurately while maintaining a strong understanding of the menu. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to move quickly in a high-volume environment, and a commitment to teamwork. The ideal candidate is highly organized, professional, and capable of anticipating guest needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver food from the kitchen to guests in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure that all dishes are presented according to restaurant standards.
- Communicate effectively between the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
- Assist servers by clearing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting overall service flow.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of the menu, including ingredients and modifications.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure food handling compliance.
- Work closely with the expeditor and kitchen team to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Minimum Requirements
- Previous experience as a food runner or in a similar fast-paced role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy trays safely.
- Strong communication and multitasking skills.
- A sense of urgency and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- California Food Handler’s Card required.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time
