George and Gather, Host Opportunity
Welcome to George & Gather, a new restaurant concept in downtown Chandler serving delicious made from-scratch, organic and locally sourced dishes. We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Host to join our team. As a Host, you will play a crucial role in providing a welcoming experience for our guests. Join us in our beautifully restored mid-century building and be part of a team dedicated to using clean, organic ingredients while offering a nourishing and enjoyable dining experience.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and seat guests in a warm and friendly manner
- Manage reservations and waitlists effectively
- Monitor restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow
- Perform opening and closing duties
- Provide guests with menus and inform them about daily specials
- Maintain host station, entrance and surrounding areas for cleanliness
- Enthusiastically bid farewell to our guests and invite them to return
- Assist servers and management team as needed during service
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a host is a plus but not required
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Maintain a neat & professional appearance
- Ability to manage a unsatisfactory guest experience calmly and effectively
- Passion for delivering exceptional service to guests
