Key Responsibilities
- Hire, train, and manage drivers to ensure a high-performing team
- Supervise other dispatchers and oversee daily dispatch operations
- Schedule drivers efficiently to maximize productivity
- Oversee fleet maintenance and ensure all vehicles are in top condition
- Communicate with customers regarding service expectations and any disruptions or delays
Qualifications
- Experience in dispatching and managing dispatch operations. Amazon DSP experience preferred
- Proven track record in hiring and training drivers
- Strong organizational skills and experience with dispatch and routing (TMS) software
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Good computer skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Geographic knowledge of Northern California
