Restaurant Manager – Director of Operations
Location: Nick's on the Lake @ Popeye's - Lake Geneva, WI
Employment Type: Full‑time (5‑day week, 40–45 hrs/wk)
Schedule: AM, PM, weekends, and holidays
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Full-Service Restaurant leader with a minimum of 10 years in table-service environments. This role is not quick-service or counter-service focused. We are looking for a hands-on floor leader who thrives in high-volume, guest-facing dining rooms, manages servers and hosts, and delivers polished hospitality in a tourist-driven market.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all dining room operations and staff
- Recruit, interview, train, and appraise team members
- Lead daily shift meetings and ongoing coaching sessions
- Manage schedules for managers and service staff
- Handle disciplinary actions and issue complimentary notices
- Maintain labor cost efficiency and productivity goals
- Provide exceptional guest relations and resolve complaints quickly
- Ensure staff deliver consistent five‑star service
- Coordinate with kitchen managers to ensure smooth service flow
- Book and manage banquets and special events
- Maintain dining room cleanliness and organization
- Oversee inventory and ordering of liquor and supplies
- Track daily sales, achievements, and profitability
- Develop seasonal beverage specials and promotional displays
- Monitor menu and pricing control
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations
- Liaise directly with ownership and management teams
- Utilize MICROS POS system (experience is a plus)
