The Regional Human Resources Representative will have oversight of multiple Human Resource related functions for a fraction of the businesses and locations under the HomeTown Services umbrella. This position will serve to support both corporate and field employees, providing coaching and counseling as well as responding to questions or concerns as they arise. The Regional Human Resources Representative supports objectives aimed at serving the employees of the organization while also supporting strategic business goals.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Enhances the organization by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
- Craft and update job requirements and descriptions for all positions.
- Prepares employees for all duties by establishing and conducting orientation, onboarding, and other training programs.
- Ensures planning and monitoring of employee work results by training managers to coach employees, scheduling management conferences with employees, hearing and resolving employee grievances, and counseling employees and supervisors.
- Implements employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends, recommending benefit programs to VP of Human Resources. This role will work closely with the benefits Account Manager to best care for employees enrolled in various programs.
- Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing federal and state requirements of all applicable states, conducting investigations, maintaining records, and representing the organization at hearings.
- Enforces management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending policies and procedures that will improve the company.
- Retains all human resource records by effectively utilizing the HRIS system and keeping past and current records.
- Identifies methods to gain efficiencies in processes with the department, leveraging technology to better serve the employees of the organization.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed and assisting the department in achieving objectives.
- Works collaboratively to support the Manager of HR as well as others across the company when onboarding/integrating a new acquisition.
- Travels to/from assigned territories as needs arise or exist. Routine and unexpected site visits are required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution or the equivalent of relevant experience in the Human Resources discipline. There is also a preference for certification in the discipline of HR.
- A minimum of five years of experience in human resources, with a proven track record of leading internal initiatives aimed at retention of talent needed by the organization to achieve objectives.
- Preference for this role will be for a focus on multi-site and/or multi-state regions within the home services industry (or a related field/trade).
- Ability to travel out of state
