Tom Brown’s Restaurant is looking for experienced and passionate Restaurant Manager(s) to join our team.  We are currently hiring for our Madison location as well as the new and upcoming Huntsville (Hays Farm) location.

 

We are looking for Restaurant Manager(s) to excel and lead all aspects of our business and take on a variety of duties and responsibilities.  Duties and responsibilities include, maintaining the restaurant’s revenue, profitability, and quality goals.  You will ensure efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service

standards. 

 

To be successful in this role, you will need management skills and experience in both front and back of the house. In the front of the house, you will know how to oversee the dining room,

meet, and greet our guest, balance seating capacity and ensure our guest expectations are not only met but exceeded in every way.  Back of the house management experience is also essential, as you will set work schedules, oversee food prep, and make sure we comply with all health and safety restaurant regulations.  You will be required to be able to know and run

every position in our house as it is essential for you and us to be successful.

 

You will be expected to lead by example and uplift our staff during busy moments in our fast-paced environment. Ultimately, you will ensure our restaurant runs smoothly and guest have an ultimate dining experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the entire restaurant operation.     
  • Manage budgets, inventory, product and supply orders, and proper matrix of food and liquor
  • cost.·        
  • Lead by example and foster a positive environment for staff and guests·        
  • Coordinate daily FOH and BOH restaurant operations.·        
  • Deliver superior guest services to ensure guest satisfaction.·        
  • Respond efficiently to guest questions and complaints.·        
  • Maintain safe working conditions.·        
  • Adhere to and enforce employee compliance with health, safety and sanitation standards.·        
  • Organize, train, supervise and evaluate staff.·        
  • Control cost and minimize waste.·        
  • Follow policies and procedures regarding the handling of cash, property, products &
  • equipment.·        
  • Work closely with owners to meet revenue objectives.·        
  • Create detailed reports including weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses.

 Qualifications and Skills

  • 2+ years’ proven experience as a Restaurant Manager with 5+ years in Restaurant or Hotel Industry.·        
  • Extensive food, liquor, and wine knowledge.·        
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with restaurant management software.·        
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.·        
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and motivational skills.·        
  • Ability to lead a positive work environment.·        
  • Exceptional organization and time-management skills.·        
  • Dependable, reliable, and honest.·        
  • Critical thinker and creative problem-solver.·        
  • Team Player.·        
  • ServSafe Certified.        
  • Culinary school diploma or BS degree in Business Administration or Hotel Restaurant Degree preferred but not required.
