Job Title: Line Cook
Job Summary
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality food quickly and consistently in a fast-paced sports bar kitchen while maintaining cleanliness, food safety, and teamwork during high-volume service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Work efficiently on assigned stations during high-volume and game-day rushes
- Maintain speed, accuracy, and consistency under pressure
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature guidelines
- Set up and break down stations properly for each shift
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and stocked throughout service
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house team members
- Assist with prep work and other kitchen duties as assigned
- Report equipment or product issues to management promptly
Qualifications
- Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Willingness to learn and follow kitchen procedures
Schedule & Availability
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and major sporting events
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a hot, fast-moving kitchen environment
