Job Title: Assistant Manager
Job Summary
The Assistant Manager supports daily restaurant operations in a fast-paced sports bar environment by leading shifts, supporting the team, and ensuring excellent guest service during high-volume periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Manager in overseeing daily front- and back-of-house operations
- Lead shifts by setting the pace, energy, and service standards
- Assist with scheduling, staffing, and shift execution
- Coach and support team members to maintain performance and accountability
- Monitor guest experience, table turns, and service flow
- Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate when appropriate
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service standards
- Assist with opening and closing procedures and shift checklists
- Help control labor, food waste, and operational costs
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized restaurant environment
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, high-energy environment
- Hands-on leadership style with a guest-first mindset
- Reliable, organized, and solution-oriented
Schedule & Availability
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and major sporting events
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to move quickly throughout the restaurant
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs as needed
