Lead Field Installer / Working Foreman

Are you a seasoned installer who loves to get your hands dirty but also has a knack for leadership? We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Lead Field Installer / Working Foreman to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you won't just supervise; you'll be on the tools every day, working alongside your crew, setting the standard for excellence and efficiency on every project.

If you have 7-10 years of hands-on experience in construction or installation, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for mentoring junior staff, we want to hear from you!

What You'll Do:

As our Lead Field Installer, you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring every installation is completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. Your day-to-day will involve a blend of hands-on work and leadership:

  • Lead from the Front: Work directly on installations, providing expert guidance and training to your team and laborers.
  • Blueprint & Plan Interpretation: Effectively read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project plans to ensure precise execution.
  • Project Coordination: Lead and coordinate your installation team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Quality & Safety Champion: Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols and project specifications, maintaining the highest standards of workmanship.
  • Proactive Problem Solver: Anticipate potential issues, troubleshoot challenges on-site, and implement solutions efficiently to keep projects on track.
  • Clear Communicator: Regularly communicate project progress, challenges, and directives to project and field managers via phone, email, and cloud-based platforms.
  • Site Management: Oversee daily site conditions, document progress, manage material flow, and assist with scheduling sub-trades and phases of work.
  • Stakeholder Interaction: Professionally interact with clients, homeowners, sub-trades, product representatives, inspectors, and other stakeholders.

What You Bring:

  • Hands-On Experience: 7-10 years of demonstrable, hands-on experience in the construction or installation field. You're comfortable and proficient working with tools.
  • Leadership Acumen: Proven experience leading small teams, mentoring junior staff, and fostering a positive team environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong general building knowledge and practical skills across various construction disciplines.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent ability to understand and follow scopes of work, document site conditions, and manage daily progress.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective internal and external interactions.
  • Safety First Mindset: A deep commitment to health and safety regulations and best practices on job sites.
  • Adaptability: Ability to think ahead, anticipate next steps, and proactively address potential issues.
  • Logistics: A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle are essential.
  • Physical Aptitude: Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks typical of a construction/installation environment.
  • Continuous Learner: Willingness to learn new techniques and obtain additional training as required.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is a plus.
