Plant Engineer
This position will manage the production, maintenance, repairs and plant security departments. This person will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling all steps in the production process.

Required and Preferred Skills
- Bilingual language skills in Spanish and English skills are required for this role
- Food production experience is required
- SQF & HACCP experience is preferred
- Cook/chill experience is preferred
Production Summary of Responsibilities
- Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality
- Establishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations
- Ensuring production budget and deadlines are met
- Build the weekly production schedule
- Motivating, supporting and providing guidance to production staff
- Ensuring adequate staff scheduling
- Setting productivity goals for each manufacturing team
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure efficient production
- Communicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production
Maintenance Summary of Responsibilities
- Responsible for evaluating machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime
- Develop, implement & manage maintenance procedures & PM’s.
- Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.
- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
- Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary.
- Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance.
- Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
- Responsible for the completion and accuracy of all maintenance paperwork.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA guidelines
Security Summary of Responsibilities
- Responsible for building security
- Verify that plant is locked down when the facility is closed
- Manage security of employees & temps inside building & gated access
- Ensure all personnel follow safety guidelines.
Misc Responsibilities
- Ensure personnel are following Food Safety Plan, HACCP, Better Process Controls, FDA, SQF & GMP guidelines
- Additional duties as assigned
- Follow SQF guidelines & assigned training
