Back of House Team Member

This location requires BOH workers to be 18 years or older.

THE JOB IN ONE SENTENCE

You are the foundation of every great guest experience — before a single order hits the counter, you’ve already done your job right.

What does winning look like in this role?

Six months from now, a great BOH Team Member at Chick-fil-A Hueytown has done these things:

✓  Your station is consistently clean, stocked, and organized — without being asked.

✓  You’ve mastered the breading procedure to Chick-fil-A standard. Your team leader trusts your output.

✓  During peak periods, you don’t wait to be directed — you see what’s needed and you move.

✓  Zero food safety write-ups. Temperatures logged. Labels and dates correct, every time.

✓  New BOH team members are being trained by you — because you’ve become someone leadership trusts to set the standard.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING DAY-TO-DAY

•    Hand-breading chicken and operating cooking stations to Chick-fil-A quality standard

•    Preparing and portioning food items with consistency and attention to detail

•    Following food safety protocols — temperature checks, labeling, dating, proper storage

•    Keeping your station and the broader kitchen clean, organized, and audit-ready

•    Communicating production needs to your team leader and adjusting pace during peak volume

•    Receiving inventory, rotating stock, and supporting waste tracking as directed

CHARACTER FIRST — SKILLS FOLLOW

We hire for who you are before what you’ve done. The BOH craft takes real skill — and we’ll build it with you. What we can’t build is the work ethic, the attention to detail, and the pride you take in a job done right when nobody’s watching. That part has to come from you.

WHO THRIVES HERE

•    People who take pride in their work even when no one’s watching

•    People who are methodical — you do things right the first time because you understand why it matters

•    People who thrive in a high-energy environment and find rhythm in repetition

•    People who want to master something — the BOH craft is real, and we treat it that way

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

•    Reliable availability — kitchen positions often require early mornings or closing shifts; must be available on Saturday

•    Physical ability to stand for extended periods, work in a warm environment, and lift up to 50 lbs

•    Attention to detail and commitment to following established procedures

•    Prior food service or kitchen experience is a plus — but not required. We will train you.

BENEFITS

•    Competitive hourly pay — BOH positions are mission-critical and compensated accordingly

•    Free meal every shift

•    Sundays off — always, no exceptions

•    Direct2Care: free tele-health access connecting you with real providers from your phone

•    Chick-fil-A Leadership Scholarship opportunities

•    A kitchen culture that respects the craft — your work is what makes the guest experience possible

•    A founding team seat — the people who join now help set the standard for everything that follows
