Amusement Ride and Go-Kart Track Attendant

Rate of pay$14 per hour

NASCAR SpeedPark: PARC Pigeon Forge, LLC, a division of PARC Entertainment, LLC (“PARC”), owns and operates the NASCAR SpeedPark in Sevierville, Tennessee. As an officially licensed attraction of the National Association for Stock Car Racing (“NASCAR”), the park offers exciting side-by-side go-kart racing on eight tracks, together with amusement rides, miniature golf courses, bumper boats, an arcade and other family-oriented entertainment. What will you be doing? As a Go-Kart Track Attendant and Ride Operator, you will be providing excellent guest service by safely assisting guests through the attraction experience. We are looking for friendly team members who are also safety conscientious and attentive to details.


Job Purpose: Provide an excellent guest experience on our go-kart tracks and rides through friendly and caring guest interactions and operating Tracks and Rides safely, following all company rules and regulations.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demonstrate “People-First”:

  • Fully embrace the Company Service Excellence Initiative by demonstrating “people first” actions for all internal and external customers and accepting responsibility for demonstrating empowerment decisions and actions during daily work.
  • Adhere to Company ethical requirements, demonstrating the utmost integrity in all professional and personal matters.
  • Promote a Harassment-free workplace by minimizing gossip, treating all team members with respect and reporting inappropriate behavior or conversations that could be considered harassment or discriminatory.
  • Assist guests with loading and unloading.
  • Give directions in a manner that professional, caring and firm.
  • Answer general questions and be helpful, friendly and courteous.

Demonstrate “Always Safe”:

  • Ensure ride and go-karts are operating properly.
  • Ensure riders are safely secured before ride or go-karts go into operation.
  • Quickly and safely correct spinouts.
  • Communicate, follow and ensure compliance with safety guidelines.
  • Communicate, monitor and maintain height/weight/rider restrictions respectfully and consistently.
  • Report any malfunction immediately to supervisor.
  • Maintain visual contact with the ride and guest.
  • Do not use electronic devices while operating rides other than the radio provided.
  • Maintain proper cleaning/ sanitizing and organizing procedures.
  • Use proper radio etiquette.

  • Be enthusiastic and promote a friendly and fun atmosphere for our team members and guests.
  • Promote a mutually supportive, unified, “we are all on the same team” relationship with team members in all department and divisions.

  • Dress professionally in clean, neat uniform
  • Complete necessary documentation of ride & track inspection, opening and closing duties and timekeeping.
  • Ensure professional development to enhance work knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules, regulations, standards, guidelines, expectations and requirements.
  • Ensure completion of work responsibilities and special projects in accordance with the designated timeframe, as determined by the reporting leader.
  • Adhere to Company ethical requirements, demonstrating the utmost integrity in all professional and personal matters.
  • Provide reporting leader with feedback, ideas and suggestions on a timely basis.
  • Duties supervisor deems necessary for park operations.


SKILLS, REQUIREMENTS, AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required Education- Able to read, write, speak and follow directions
  • Preferred Experience – none
  • Certification/Licensure –none but able to complete Track and Ride Training
  • Specific Vision Requirements – Color and peripheral vision, Close vision, distance vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.
  • Special Skills –Positive and effective customer service skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time. Good communication Skills. Able to stay alert and be consistent with repetitive tasks.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk, use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms, bend, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, pull, push, talk and hear. Occasionally climb stairs or a ladder.
  • Able to maintain visual contact with the ride and the guests.
  • Extended standing and walking, occasional pushing, pulling, running and jogging.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The employee will regularly push/pull go-karts with guest(s) occupying the go-karts, including go-karts on an incline.
  • The noise level is moderate to high/ loud.
  • Regularly exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time, including direct sunlight, extreme heat, cold, wind and rain.
