YOUR ROLE AS A TAZIKI’S SHIFT LEADER: 

  • Serving guests, making meaningful connections with them
  • Opening & closing tasks
  • Being responsible for the restaurant and the team working when a manager isn’t on duty
  • Setting the tone for the shift and giving clear, calm directions to your team about their duties 
  • Mastering menu and product knowledge
  • Supporting or working stations when needed (kitchen included)
  • Prepping food and doing side work
  • Following proper cash handling and payment procedures
  • Maintaining Health Department Standards throughout each shift 
  • Following proper Alcohol Handling policies and procedures
  • Proper food handling and storage of food products
  • Maintaining proper hygiene, uniform and appearance

THE IDEAL TEAM MEMBER:

  • Must be at least 19 years of age 
  • Prior food service experience preferred 
  • Leadership, guest service, and verbal communication skills with guests / team members 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple tasks and priorities 
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to the policies and procedures 
  • Energetic, ready to learn, loves fresh food
  • Work flexible schedule
  • Dependable, reliable and trustworthy
  • Open to being coached
  • Must be comfortable running shifts solo as manager on duty with the ability to open and/or close the store without supervision
  • Must be good with money

ALL EMPLOYEES MUST:

  • Understand and abide by all company standards and policies (provided in your handbook)
  • Obtain a Food Manager’s certification shortly after beginning employment
  • Become well versed in all aspects of the restaurant
  • Be comfortable and possess strong customer engagements and interactions
  • Be comfortable with and mastering the point of sale (POS) system for guests' orders


YOUR WORKING CONDITIONS/HOURS:

A typical work day at Taziki’s may look like:

  • Morning shift - 7am - 4pm
  • Evenings - 2pm - 10pm
  • Weekend availability
  • Holiday availability - when applicable (CLOSED Thanksgiving & Christmas)

*Hours will vary by store.

 

You may work in a typical restaurant kitchen environment which includes but is not limited to using equipment such as a flattop and chargrill, oven, slicer, mixer and food processor.
