As a Kitchen Team Member, you play an essential role in ensuring the food we serve reflects our standards. You are responsible for preparing menu items with consistency, accuracy, and care while helping ensure the kitchen operates safely, efficiently, and with respect for the team and the process.
This is a hands-on role that requires focus, accountability, and follow-through. Kitchen Team Members help protect the quality, safety, and consistency of every item we serve.
This is an hourly role. Compensation is based on experience, reliability, and consistency in executing responsibilities.
What You’ll Do
- Preparing and cooking menu items according to established recipes, food safety standards, and operational procedures
- Preparing fresh ingredients, sauces, and components with accuracy, consistency, and care
- Protecting food quality, safety, and consistency at all times
- Maintaining clean, organized, and food-safe workstations
- Operating kitchen equipment safely and responsibly
- Supporting opening and closing procedures as scheduled
- Working with urgency while protecting quality and attention to detail
- Communicating clearly with Shift Managers and team members to support smooth operations
- Monitoring product levels and communicating needs or shortages to leadership
- Identifying and communicating equipment, safety, or cleanliness concerns promptly
- Supporting cleanliness, organization, and proper care of the kitchen and equipment
- Following all food safety, sanitation, and operational standards consistently
- Showing up on time, prepared, and ready to contribute to the team

Qualifications
- Food Handler certification required prior to beginning in-restaurant work
- Previous kitchen or restaurant experience preferred, but not required
- At least 16 years of age
Schedule & Environment
Team Members are responsible for following established food safety procedures and protecting food quality and guest experience at all times.
This role requires working in environments where food products, allergens, cleaning chemicals, and temperature variations are present. The role also requires the ability to stand and move for extended periods and to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds with assistance when available.
Flock & Fresh prepares food in a shared restaurant environment using raw ingredients and common allergens, including wheat, dairy, eggs, soy, sesame, and other allergens. While strict food safety procedures are followed, cross-contact may occur due to shared equipment, preparation areas, and handling processes.
