Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols
- Ensure proper patient screening, positioning, and safety (including MRI safety zones)
- Operate MRI equipment and monitor image quality
- Administer contrast agents as required, following safety guidelines
- Accurately document procedures and patient information in the EMR/LIS
- Maintain equipment, supplies, and a clean work environment
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists, nurses, and clinical staff
- Comply with HIPAA, infection control, and hospital policies
Requirements
- ARRT certification in MRI (MR)
- Active California CRT license
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Minimum 1 year of MRI experience preferred (hospital or imaging center)
- Strong knowledge of MRI safety standards and protocols
- Ability to work independently and provide excellent patient care
