Responsibilities:

A. Expert Birthing Support:

  • Provide expert support to expecting mothers during childbirth, demonstrating knowledge of the birthing process.

B. Health Monitoring:

  • Monitor baby's heart rate and mother's health throughout labor, ensuring the safety of both.

C. Maintain Care Standards:

  • Uphold high care standards in the delivery room, creating a safe and supportive environment.

D. Quick Assessment and Triage:

  • Swiftly assess patients, prioritize tasks, and assist in minor procedures as needed.

E. Effective Communication:

  • Communicate and collaborate with doctors and patients, ensuring timely updates on test results and treatment recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Active California RN license
  • 6 months to 1 year of relevant Emergency Room nursing experience
  • CPR or BLS Certification
  • ACLS and PALS Certification
  • Recent Physical and TB Test (within one year)
  • Willingness to travel within a 20-30 mile radius
  • Valid Driver's License or State ID
  • Full COVID vaccination with booster shot
  • Availability for all shifts, including weekends
  • Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1-2
  • COVID patient interaction required
  • Dress Code: Scrubs (Appropriate color)
  • EMR: Meditech
  • First Shift requires RN to be 15 min early
  • Approved OT requires completion of an Approval Sheet with Staffing Coordinator/House Supervisor
  • OT approval is contingent upon documentation signed by the Charge Nurse or House Supervisor
