Our client is seeking an experienced Orthopedic Technologist to support orthopedic services in a clinical setting. This is a temporary assignment with the potential to convert to a permanent role, subject to performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist orthopedic physicians with fracture care and orthopedic procedures
- Apply, remove, and adjust casts, splints, braces, and other orthopedic devices
- Prepare patients for orthopedic examinations and procedures
- Provide patient education regarding cast care, splint use, and post-procedure instructions
- Ensure proper handling, cleaning, and maintenance of orthopedic equipment and supplies
- Accurately document patient care activities in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Adhere to all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an orthopedic technologist training program or equivalent relevant experience
- Current BLS certification
- Demonstrated experience in an orthopedic clinic, hospital, or similar healthcare setting
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, positioning, and assisting patients
Work schedule
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
