Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision for assigned nursing unit.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
- Monitor patient/resident care, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and facility standards.
- Conduct rounds to assess care delivery, documentation, and staff performance.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
- Assist in staff recruitment, orientation, training, and performance evaluation.
- Ensure accurate documentation in medical records and adherence to HIPAA standards.
- Address family/resident concerns promptly and professionally.
- Participate in quality assurance, infection control, and safety programs.
- Act as a clinical resource and mentor for staff, promoting professional development.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine
- 2–3 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or charge nurse role.
- Long-term care, rehabilitation, or acute care experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations.
