ROLE OVERVIEW
The Sales Director, Events is responsible for driving group, corporate, and event revenue for one or more Rise Brands locations within a designated market. This role owns the local sales pipeline, manages key corporate and repeat accounts, and ensures seamless execution of booked business in partnership with on-site Operations teams.
This position balances hands-on selling with relationship management and coordination, serving as the primary point of contact for larger or higher-value event clients. The ideal candidate is commercially driven, guest-focused, and energized by converting interest into memorable, on-brand experiences.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Market Sales & Revenue Ownership
- Own and execute the events and group sales strategy for one location or a small group of locations.
- Drive revenue through corporate events, buyouts, team outings, celebrations, and brand activations.
- Manage a personal book of business while actively prospecting new local and regional accounts.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals, conversion targets, and revenue KPIs.
Corporate & Key Account Management
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for corporate, agency, and repeat clients within the market.
- Handle larger, more complex, or high-value event inquiries and negotiations.
- Identify opportunities to grow accounts through repeat bookings, upsells, and multi-visit agreements.
- Partner with the Sales Director on enterprise accounts when applicable.
Sales Execution & Guest Experience
- Lead the full sales lifecycle: inbound inquiry response, proposal development, site tours, contract execution, and post-event follow-up.
- Collaborate closely with Operations and venue leadership to ensure events are executed accurately and profitably.
- Act as the escalation point for event-related guest issues, ensuring strong client satisfaction and retention.
- Maintain accurate event details, pricing, and communication to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Sales Operations & CRM Management
- Manage and maintain accurate CRM records, including pipeline activity, forecasting, and client communications.
- Track performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve conversion and revenue per event.
- Follow established sales processes, pricing guidelines, and brand standards.
Local Partnerships & Market Presence
- Build relationships with local businesses, planners, and community organizations to drive new leads.
- Support local marketing efforts, networking events, and on-site activations that generate sales opportunities.
- Represent Rise Brands as a local brand ambassador in the community.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
- 3–5+ years of sales experience, preferably in hospitality, entertainment, events, or experiential venues.
- Proven ability to close business and manage corporate or group accounts.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Highly organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment with multiple priorities.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with venue leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and sales reporting.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed to support events.
- Ability to travel locally or regionally between assigned locations.
