Rise Brands is looking for a dynamic and strategic HR Business Partner who can thrive in a rapidly growing organization. This pivotal role involves collaborating closely with leadership and employees across various departments to develop and implement human resources strategies that align with our business objectives. The HR Business Partner will serve as a trusted advisor, fostering a positive organizational culture, enhancing talent management initiatives, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. The idea candidate will possess extensive expertise in human capital management, change management, and HRIS systems, contributing to the continuous improvement of our human resources functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage daily human resources functions across all brands including, recruiting, hiring, payroll, performance management, team member relations, and special projects.
Oversee the field team payroll function, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with legal requirements.
Address issues and questions regarding payroll from team members and managers, working with payroll partners to resolve issues in a timely manner.
Manages and resolves complex team member relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
Provides guidance and input on business unit restructure, workforce planning, and succession planning.
Manages the workers' compensation and safety program, including; reporting to government agencies, communicating with team members and managers, attending appeal hearings, and compliance with all local, state, and federal laws.
Consults with field operations leaders, providing HR guidance and policy interpretation, when appropriate.
Collaborating across departments to develop and drive execution of plans to increase team member engagement and reduce turnover.
Maintain and update human resources documents, such as organizational charts, employee handbooks, policies, performance evaluation forms, etc.
Support outside vendor relationships with benefits brokers, workers’ compensation, unemployment agencies, HR system specialists, etc.
Schedule meetings and provide general administrative support.
Ensure confidentiality and professionalism are upheld by all when handling sensitive and confidential information.
Participate in meetings, on-site visits and facilitate training programs to support business and training objectives at all levels of the organization.
Maintain knowledge of up-to-date HR best practices and compliance laws.
Support and drive continuous improvement of policies, process, training, strategic planning, and other Human Resources initiatives.
Administer benefits programs, including FMLA, benefits enrollment, and compliance with applicable regulations
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Strong working knowledge of compliance and basic HR functions in all areas, payroll administration, and federal and state employment laws.
Excellent organizational skills and proven ability to prioritize workload with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
Ability to uphold a high level of confidentiality and ethics at all times.
Proven success in managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Professional verbal and written communication and presentation skills with the ability to clearly, concisely, and confidently communicate complex and/or confidential information to all levels of the company and external partners.
Comfortable working in a Mac environment; proficient in Microsoft Office suite; proven ability to learn new business applications, as needed.
Ability to travel in order to support new store openings, HR site visits, and training initiatives, as needed.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work a daily M-F schedule with occasional evening and weekend support as determined by HR function and location business needs.
Proficiency with HRIS platforms such as Workday, Oracle HCM, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, Taleo, Paylocity, PeopleSoft or Ceridian
EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required; advanced certifications such as SHRM-CP or PHR preferred
5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience required
Hospitality and/or service industry experience preferred
