We are growing, evolving, and investing in the systems that support our business. We are looking for a Senior Technology Manager to join our team in Columbus, Ohio and help lead the technology function across our home office and venue portfolio.
About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands how technology supports a fast-moving, multi-unit hospitality business. You will be responsible for helping ensure our core platforms, infrastructure, support model, and technology standards are set up to scale with the business.
This role is ideal for someone who is equally comfortable solving operational issues, managing vendors, supporting venue technology needs, and driving longer-term projects that improve how the business runs. The right person is practical, organized, responsive, and able to work cross-functionally with teams across operations, finance, people, marketing, and leadership. This position is based in our Columbus home office.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee technology operations across the Rise Brands home office and venue portfolio
- Manage and support core business systems and operating platforms
- Own and support key hospitality systems, including Toast POS and Crunchtime
- Partner with operations and cross-functional leaders to ensure systems are working effectively and supporting the needs of the business
- Support new store openings, renovations, and venue projects by ensuring technology is properly planned, installed, tested, and launched
- Coordinate hardware, networking, connectivity, and other venue technology needs across locations
- Manage outside technology vendors, service providers, and support partners
- Lead and support technology projects, including system rollouts, upgrades, integrations, and process improvements
- Help establish and maintain technology standards, documentation, and support processes
- Partner on cybersecurity, access management, and other foundational security practices
- Assist with technology budgeting, planning, and prioritization as the company grows
- Help build a technology function that is responsive to today’s needs and scalable for what comes next
What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years of relevant technology experience
- 5+ years supporting or managing technology operations, systems, projects, or teams
- Experience in a multi-unit hospitality, restaurant, retail, or consumer-facing environment
- Required proficiency in Toast POS and Crunchtime
- Strong understanding of the technology needs of brick-and-mortar businesses, including hardware, networking, vendor-supported systems, and onsite installation coordination
- Experience supporting business-critical platforms such as POS, labor management, inventory, finance, HRIS, or reporting tools
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience managing vendors and external partners
- Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly
- Based in the Columbus area or able to work from Columbus as needed
Preferred
- Experience supporting hospitality, entertainment, restaurant, or retail concepts
- Experience with new store openings or large venue implementations
- Experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft platforms, and access/security tools
- Experience helping improve systems, processes, and support structures in a growing business
