2025 Wage Info

TIPS ARE HAPPENING! Since March 2022, Crew Members have been allowed to accept tips — currently averaging around $4 more per hour (even higher at the Arena)!

  • Ages 18 and up: $17.50/hour + tips
  • Ages 16–17: $17.00/hour + tips
  • After re-joining the team, promoted positions may be available, especially for those with excellent availability. Pay varies based on position, age, and store location.

New Training Requirements

To stay transparent, we want you to know about two new required trainings (in addition to the Food Handler Card and Work Permit):

  • Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) – Required for those 18+ in order to sell beer or wine. Opting to not complete it means you’ll be paid at the 16–17-year-old rate and have fewer scheduling options. This certification expires every 3 years.
  • Harassment Prevention Training – Required for all crew. Offered via the Whiting’s Learning Portal in July or December depending on your return date. This expires every 2 years.
  • Whiting's Foods provides you access to the these courses, plus you are paid for taking them!

Scheduling Needs

Weekend availability is essential. Weekday shifts will increase as the summer season progresses, but strong weekend availability is key. Additionally, to keep the schedule fair and balanced, all crew members are expected to be available to work some evening shifts.


Job Expectations

All Crew Members must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, just like before. This includes working on your feet, handling food, cleaning, interacting with Guests, and supporting your coworkers across various tasks.


Uniform & Grooming Reminders

The Boardwalk-wide policies remain strict, with a few updates:

  • One small nose stud or small side nose ring is now allowed. (No septum or other facial piercings; cannot be covered with bandages.)
  • Tattoos must be family-friendly and not on the face or head.
  • We can no longer wear blue demin.
  • As always, food service rules apply for jewelry, nails, eyelashes, etc.
  • This is not the full policy, just a fast review.
