Limited Openings: Food & Customer Service Team – Arena Location
Looking for a fun, fast-paced part-time job this fall and winter? Whiting’s Foods is hiring a limited number of team members for the 2026-2027 Santa Cruz Warriors season at Kaiser Permanente Arena!
Whiting’s Foods has been creating great jobs, serving fun foods, and building lasting friendships in Santa Cruz for more than 70 years. Arena team members work Santa Cruz Warriors home games and other events while gaining valuable job experience, enjoying flexible scheduling, and earning $17.50/hour plus tips averaging $4+/hour (typical total $21.50+/hour).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver great guest service in a fast-paced environment
- Prepare and serve food and beverages
- Handle register transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Follow food safety, alcohol service, and company procedures

Who We’re Looking For:
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
- Priority will be given to applicants age 21+ based on the specific Arena positions we are filling this season
- Available to work most Santa Cruz Warriors home games (November–March)
- Comfortable providing great guest service in a busy, loud, high-energy environment
- Able to stand, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs
- Willing to complete required Food Handler and Responsible Beverage Service training
- Comfortable following our uniform and grooming standards (Quick version: Yes to small nose piercings. Yes to most family-friendly tattoos.)
Important Hiring Dates:
- Apply by September 10
- Interviews completed and hiring decisions made by September 17
- Paid onboarding requirements completed by September 30
- Attend mandatory paid training on October 10 (daytime) at our Boardwalk location
Where You'll Work:
Kaiser Permanente Arena: 140 Front Street, Santa Cruz
Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk: 400 Beach Street, Santa Cruz (training and occasional work opportunities)
