Rhubarb is a chef-driven, farm-to-table restaurant in the heart of downtown Asheville serving modern Appalachian cuisine with genuine hospitality. What does that mean? That at Rhubarb, we believe in people-first hospitality from our employees to our farm partners to our guests. We are hiring a Bartender, but the person will always come before the role.
The Person
As a Bartender at Rhubarb, you believe that great service starts with a genuine personality. You believe that the whole process is important when it comes to dining: from sourcing our produce and spirits locally, to sustainability, to working as a team to execute a consistent experience for our guests. You are interested in cocktail crafting and view creative input in the beverage program as a major job perk.
The Role
- Open and/or close the bar according to checklists for cleanliness and efficiency
- Provide excellent service for bar guests with a full range of knowledge of both food and beverage offerings
- Fulfill service bar tickets quickly and efficiently
- Provide creative input in the beverage program
- Help with bar prep, including batching cocktails, making infusions, syrups, shrubs, etc., juicing, and cutting garnishes
The Qualifications
- 1-2 years of previous bartending experience
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Lift up to 50lbs
