The Payroll Clerk plays a critical role in running payroll for 90 employees across Collier & Lee Counties. The Payroll Clerk should be proficient with the technology of Paylocity or similar payroll software systems. A Payroll Clerk is responsible for assisting with the accurate and timely preparation, processing, and maintenance of payroll records. Individuals should thrive in fast-paced work environments, act with a high sense of urgency and integrity, successfully juggle multiple tasks, and have a strong attention to detail by ensuring information is accurate, compliant, and professionally managed.


Payroll Clerk - Pay $25 / $28 an hour.  


  

Responsibilities with the Payroll Clerk role include the following:

  • Manages the payroll processing (weekly & bi-weekly) for two companies in compliance with company policies, and state and federal guidelines through the third-party provider Paylocity.
  • Ensures that Payroll is accurate and on time consistently. 
  • Enter and maintain payroll information in payroll systems (Paylocity).
  • Review payroll reports to ensure accuracy of wages, deductions, benefits, and taxes.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee inquiries.
  • Prepare and distribute paychecks, direct deposits, and payroll reports.
  • Maintain employee payroll files and confidential information.
  • Assist with year-end processes such as W-2.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Support HR with onboarding/separations and updating employee compensation data.
  • Reviews and reconciles monthly invoices.
  • Leads various projects and other duties.
  • Acts with the highest level of integrity and professionalism.

 

To have a successful career with Grande Aire Services, the Payroll Clerk must:

  • Be organized, detail-oriented and focused on results, minimizing any errors.
  • Have at least two years of payroll experience.
  • Some light accounting experience a plus.
  • Intermediate Excel skills, including import/export data, work with formulas.
  • Service Titan software experience preferred but not necessary. 
  • Work autonomously and have natural curiosity to find the root cause and a solution for daily challenges.
  • Act professionally and deliver superb customer service to both internal/external customers,
  • Know the importance of following policies and guidelines while always searching for an answer.
