As a phone operator, you are the first point of contact with the guest sees when they call so a friendly smile, warm welcome, and professional demeanor are the first expectations we have.
Responsibilities of the position are answering phones, taking orders for deliveries and pick-ups, running an organized and efficient expo window, quickly and accurately cashing out guests while insuring their orders are correct, creating friendly relationships with our guests, and helping in any other areas the restaurant may need. Because of the high level of business our restaurant does on a daily basis, you must be able to multi-task, perform well under pressure, maintain a professional, friendly, and calm demeanor at all times, and above all put the guests first in whatever their needs may be.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answering as many phone calls as possible
- Being sure to answer phone calls within 2 rings
- Staying within earshot of the phone at all times
- Prioritizing phone calls and politely placing guests on hold if needed
- Being courteous and using proper phone etiquette as outlined
- Taking orders quickly and accurately
- Paying special attention to complicated information like credit card numbers, delivery addresses, special instructions / notes, etc.
- Providing accurate promise times for Pick Up and Delivery orders
- Answering common guest questions
- Taking messages for management
- Backing up other FOH employees
