We are seeking an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our leadership team in a fast-paced quick-service restaurant (QSR) environment.
As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in restaurant operations, team leadership, customer service, and business performance. You will work closely with the General Manager to ensure the restaurant delivers outstanding guest experiences, operational excellence, and strong financial performance.
This role is ideal for someone with restaurant management, shift leader, or fast food management experience who is passionate about developing team members, managing daily operations, and driving restaurant sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
Restaurant Operations & Leadership
- Support daily restaurant operations in a high-volume fast-casual restaurant environment
- Uphold Freddy’s standards for hospitality, food quality, speed of service, and restaurant cleanliness
- Lead shifts and ensure the restaurant operates efficiently during peak business hours
- Maintain a strong guest-first mindset and resolve guest concerns professionally
- Spend the majority of time on the restaurant floor leading the team and supporting operations
Team Development & Staff Management
- Hire, train, coach, and develop restaurant team members and shift leaders
- Build a positive team culture focused on hospitality, teamwork, and accountability
- Provide coaching and performance feedback to improve team performance
- Coordinate employee schedules and maintain appropriate staffing levels
- Lead by example with strong communication, leadership, and time-management skills
Financial Performance & Business Management
- Help manage labor costs, food costs, and inventory control
- Utilize financial tools such as P&L reports, sales reports, labor reports, and restaurant KPIs
- Monitor product ordering, vendor relationships, and inventory levels
- Identify opportunities to improve sales, operational efficiency, and profitability
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health regulations, and company policies
Qualifications
Restaurant Management Experience
- At least 1 year of experience as a Restaurant Supervisor, Shift Leader, or Assistant Manager
- Experience working in a quick-service restaurant (QSR), fast casual, or casual dining environment
- Proven ability to lead teams and deliver excellent customer service
Skills & Leadership Abilities
- Strong leadership and restaurant team management skills
- Ability to analyze restaurant performance metrics and financial reports
- Experience with labor scheduling, inventory management, and restaurant operations
- Proficiency with basic computer software and spreadsheets
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Passion for delivering great food, great service, and great guest experiences
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended shifts up to 10 hours
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and occasionally climb a ladder
- Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
