The Part-Time Private Events Lead is responsible for supporting the execution of private events at the Beer Hall and Taproom, ensuring guests receive exceptional hospitality and events run smoothly from start to finish. This role is heavily focused on day-of event coordination, communication, and operational execution. Weekend availability is required, as the majority of events occur evenings and weekends.


This position works closely with the Private Events Manager, Front-of-House leadership team, kitchen team, and event hosts to create memorable guest experiences while maintaining operational standards


Event Execution & Guest Experience

  • Serve as the on-site lead for private events during assigned shifts.
  • Ensure event spaces are fully set and prepared prior to guest arrival.
  • Welcome hosts and guests, review event details, and act as the primary point of contact during events.
  • Monitor timing and flow of events to ensure smooth execution.
  • Deliver high-level hospitality and quickly resolve guest concerns or operational issues.
  • Support buffet setups, beverage service coordination, room flips, and event breakdowns as needed.
  • Ensure all event details are executed according to BEOs and company standards.

Team Communication & Coordination

  • Communicate event timelines and details to FOH and BOH teams before and during events.
  • Work collaboratively with managers, bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless execution.
  • Provide direction and support to event staff during high-volume or large-scale events.
  • Escalate major guest concerns or operational issues to management when necessary.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Complete pre-event and post-event walkthroughs of event spaces.
  • Assist with event setup including tables, linens, décor placement, signage, and AV coordination when needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of event spaces throughout events.
  • Assist with closing responsibilities following events.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, sanitation, and alcohol service standards.

Qualifications

  • Previous hospitality, restaurant, banquet, or event experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and guest service skills.
  • Ability to stay calm, organized, and solution-oriented in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to lead with confidence while maintaining a positive and team-oriented attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands require.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
