We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Porter to join our team. As a Porter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our establishment. Your main responsibilities will include assisting with various tasks in the storefront and rear prep room, providing excellent guest services, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Responsibilities:
- Keep the store front product display cases full, and arranged in a customer pleasing fashion.
- Rotate perishable merchandise in the Walk-In refrigerator & Freezer.
- Unload delivery trucks each day.
- Place new merchandise in appropriate cold storage locations.
- Assist with pre & post production of prepared product.
- Prepare produce for sale according to expectations.
- Comprehensive cleaning of storefront product display cases.
- Sweep and mop storefront floors
- Clean and safely reassemble machinery and equipment.
- Ensure all equipment and utensils are properly cleaned and sanitized
- Provide exceptional guest services by promptly addressing their needs and concerns
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a safe working environment
- Work collaboratively and constructively with all other team members to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred
- Cellphone is to be off while on shift and wait until break to check it.
- Meal, snack or drink consumption must wait until break, and can not be done in designated food service or preparation areas. Water in a covered container, stored physically below preparation areas is permitted. This is a Department of Health Food Safety requirement.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift heavy objects
