Cleaning Specialist Job Description


Role Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated individual to join our team as a Cleaning Specialist. As a Cleaning Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our restaurant facilities. Your primary objective will be to perform thorough deep cleaning tasks, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the establishment. This position requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a proactive approach to maintaining a clean and organized environment.


Role Expectations:

  • Perform comprehensive deep cleaning tasks throughout the restaurant, including equipment, floors, shelves, walls, fixtures, and other designated areas, ensuring a spotless and sanitary environment.
  • Utilize appropriate cleaning techniques, tools, and chemicals to achieve optimal cleanliness and maintain the integrity of the restaurant's surfaces, materials, and equipment.
  • Follow our established cleaning schedule and prioritize tasks effectively to ensure all areas are thoroughly cleaned within designated timeframes.
  • Regularly inspect and identify areas that require special attention or maintenance, reporting any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring a fresh and hygienic experience for both staff and customers.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and procedures, including proper handling and storage of cleaning products and equipment.
  • Dispose of waste and recyclable materials in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other team members to maintain a cooperative and efficient work environment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning tasks as required, such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing surfaces.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, promptly reporting any shortages or necessary replenishments.
  • Help clean dishes as needed. 
  • Perform regular cleaning maintenance on all equipment according to the maintenance calendar. 

Job Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment, including proper handling and usage of cleaning chemicals.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, demonstrating a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, including standing, bending, lifting, and carrying heavy items.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively report any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Understanding and adherence to health and safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Experience in housekeeping is preferable, but not required. 
  • Work schedule: 40 hours per week. Since we are closed on Sunday, this is the best time to accomplish certain cleaning tasks, so working Sundays is a requirement for this position. We are very flexible on what other days you would like off. 

Compensation Package:

  • $16/hr 
  • $9 meal privilege per 5 hour shift
