REGISTERED PHARMACY TECHNICIAN – Full-Time
Compensation: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour
Position Overview:
This full-time position provides pharmacy support within the Recharge Clinic by assisting with compounding medications, preparing prescriptions, and ensuring proper medication handling. The Pharmacy Technician will work closely with the pharmacy team to maintain accurate records, assist in preparing prescriptions for patients, and contribute to the efficient operation of the clinic.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Fill and label medications accurately per prescriptions.
- Deliver medications to designated Patient Care Areas in a timely manner.
- Prepare IV admixture solutions under the direction of a pharmacist.
- Answer phone calls, direct them to appropriate staff, and provide customer service.
- Maintain medication stock levels and ensure the proper storage of medications.
- Assist in the maintenance and cleaning of pharmacy equipment.
- Ensure medication records and logs are completed properly.
- Follow safety and regulatory guidelines to ensure safe handling of medications.
- Perform additional duties as required to support the pharmacy operations.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in pharmacy support or medication handling preferred.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience preferred.
Licenses, Certifications, or Registrations:
- Active Pharmacy Technician license issued by the state of Florida.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in pharmacy regulations, procedures, and medication handling.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in filling prescriptions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, clinical environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Team-oriented and able to collaborate effectively in a clinical setting.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Clinical pharmacy environment.
- Requires standing for extended periods and handling pharmaceutical materials.
- May require occasional lifting and assisting with the transport of medication supplies.
