As a Host, you are the warm welcome and fond farewell for every guest who walks through our doors. You set the tone for the entire dining experience with a genuine smile, polished professionalism, and an enthusiasm for creating memorable moments. In addition to greeting guests, you will assist in efficient seating, and a hospitality-first culture that leaves every guest feeling valued and cared for.
Responsibilities
- Greet each guest warmly and sincerely, ensuring they feel welcomed from the moment they arrive.
- Manage reservations and waitlists using OpenTable to optimize seating and guest flow.
- Maintain accurate wait times and communicate them clearly and courteously to guests.
- Coordinate with servers, management, and the kitchen to ensure smooth service and exceptional guest experiences.
- Handle VIPs, special occasions, and guest concerns with grace and professionalism.
- Keep the host stand organized, polished, and ready for service at all times.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of prior host experience required (upscale or fine dining strongly preferred).
- OpenTable experience required — must be confident and efficient in using the platform.
- Enthusiastic, kind, and genuinely friendly disposition — a natural people-person.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods of time.
- Comfortable walking quickly throughout the dining room and occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs.
