Position Summary

The Director of Operations serves as a key strategic partner to the Owner/Operator, leading the leadership team and overseeing the daily execution of restaurant operations.


This role ensures excellence in guest experience, team development, and business performance — balancing operational discipline with a heart for people.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure excellence in speed, accuracy, hospitality, and food safety.
  • Maintain operational systems and processes for efficiency and brand consistency.
  • Monitor key performance metrics, including sales, labor, CEM, throughput, and waste.
  • Lead problem-solving, process improvement, and continuous innovation initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Chick-fil-A’s safety, quality, and cleanliness standards.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Recruit, train, and develop leaders at all levels.
  • Conduct one-on-one coaching and leadership development sessions.
  • Create clear growth and succession pathways for team members.
  • Foster a high-performance culture grounded in care, excellence, and growth.
  • Model servant leadership and accountability in all areas.

Strategic Partnership

  • Collaborate with the Operator on long-term goals, business strategy, and leadership vision.
  • Execute strategic initiatives that drive operational growth and guest satisfaction.
  • Provide data-driven insights for improving systems and profitability.

Financial Stewardship

  • Support financial health through forecasting, labor management, and cost control.
  • Analyze performance trends and implement corrective actions as needed.

Guest Experience & Brand Excellence

  • Champion an exceptional guest experience through intentional hospitality and consistency.
  • Lead by example in delivering warm, caring, and remarkable service.
  • Uphold Chick-fil-A’s brand reputation and values within the Naples community.

Additional Expectations

  • Demonstrates flexibility by performing other duties as assigned to support operations and team success.
  • Must be able to safely lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Maintains consistent and reliable attendance with dependable transportation.
  • Upholds Chick-fil-A City Gate’s standards of excellence, integrity, and professionalism in all interactions.

Qualifications

  • Chick-fil-A experience required in both Front of House and Back of House Operations.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in restaurant, retail, or operations management 
  • Proven success in leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong business acumen and operational management experience.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Alignment with Chick-fil-A’s mission and culture of servant leadership.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime, as needed to support team operations and guest service.
