Responsiblities
Includes all tasks under “Host”.
2. Manage all cash and credit transactions.
3. Manage POS and card machine (i.e. input orders, print checks, settle
charges, troubleshoot).
4. Manage and record all credit card receipts, cash in register, special
discounts, void checks, missing checks, missing cash etc.
5. Assist guests and FOH staff with monetary transaction.
6. (If applicable) Manage inventory of alcoholic drinks, soft drinks office
supplies, snacks etc.
7. Assist all other FOH staff whenever possible (servers, food runner, bussers,
cashier).
8. Report all special circumstances and requests to shift leader or manager.
9. (If applicable) Prepare and make drinks for other FOH staff.
10. (If applicable) Count and record all drinks items.
11. (If applicable) Manage all to-go orders.
12. Make sure the tip input is correct - if there is a problem, communicate with
the manager asking for solution
13. Keep the original signed check of order using coupons or discounts with
cash sales together, it must has customer and manager’s signature on it.
Requirements:
1. Must be able to always remain positive: always smile, speak calmly,
respectfully, softly, well mannered.
2. Must be excellent in time and table management.
3. Must be excellent in communication; with both guests and co-workers. (i.e.
such as getting each party ready for the table and getting bussers informed
of the incoming party)
4. Must fully understand layout of restaurant (i.e. table #, maximum seating
per table, ideal table for special needs such as baby strollers or luggage)
5. Knowledgeable with all menu items, open hours, parking etc.
6. Knowledgeable with location of items.
7. Able to operate or trouble shoot music stereos, TVs (such as finding
specific channels)
8. Able to handle monetary transaction in special events such as power
outages, internet offline, or runaway customers etc.
9. Able to use the Yelp NoWait system (if applicable)
