Responsibilities:
1. Includes all necessary tasks of busser, host, cashier and/or food runner when other
team members are not available, need assistance, or as directed by team leader.
(i.e. Seating customer, check out, inspect / restock / prepare all server stations,
dining tables, reception areas, food runner station, refrigerators etc.; collect dirty
dishes etc.)
2. Prepare dining tables and dining room with special attention to sanitation and
order.
3. Greet and welcome all restaurant guests.
4. Present menu, communicate, and help customers select food/ beverages.
(i.e. Answer questions, make recommendations, and discover needs.)
5. Take and confirm orders, then prioritize and serve orders accordingly.
6. Assist customers with cooking especially with 1st time guests.
7. Resolve problems or complaints with positive attitude and appropriate
accommodations; communicate all such events to team lead or manager.
(i.e. report out-of-stock/ missing/ bad quality/ lessor quantity items to team lead or
manager; issues appropriate discount or accommodation under company’s
guidelines)
8. Issue bill and process payment.
9. Ensure the cleanliness and readiness of the FOH for the next shift.
10. Assist other FOH staff whenever possible (i.e. host, busser, food runner).
11. Notify guests that all their orders have been served, if there is discrepancy, follow
up with shift leader or kitchen manager
Requirements:
1. Must be able to always remain positive: always smile, speak calmly, respectfully,
softly, well mannered.
2. Must be excellent in communication; with both guests and co-workers.
3. Include all requirements under Busser, Food runner, and Host.
4. Knowledgeable with restaurant layout and rules (i.e. table #, max. guest per table,
settings etc.)
5. Must be knowledgeable with all menu items, drink items, and all available
items.(i.e. quantity of items, contents of combos, food/drink ingredients, food
allergies, gluten free items etc.)
6. Able to prioritize needs and tasks of all tables or customers depending on
urgency, special accommodation, kitchen’s flow of work, and/or unique
circumstances.
7. Must be familiar with POS input layouts and credit card machines.
8. Must be at least 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
9. Must have relevant certificates and license required by the city and state
government
