Job Responsibilities:
- Analyzes bid documents, in conjunction with Business Development, to qualify targeted opportunities.
- Bid Management: Manage the entire bid process, from reviewing bid documents and coordinating with subcontractors to ensuring timely submission.
- Cost Analysis: Perform detailed analysis of project specifications, blueprints, and other documents to assess project costs and identify potential cost-saving measures accurately.
- Construction Software Expertise: Utilize proficiency in construction software, such as Bluebeam, QuoteSoft, and other industry tools, to improve estimation accuracy and efficiency.
- Budget Alignment: Work closely with project managers and teams to ensure estimates align with project budgets.
- Vendor and Supplier Coordination: Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers for competitive pricing on plumbing materials and equipment.
- Client Interaction: Communicate with clients during the bid process to clarify project requirements, respond to inquiries, and provide essential information.
- Review Company jobs and compare on a timely basis to as-sold estimates to confirm the accuracy of the estimate.
Qualifications:
- Five or more years of relevant conceptual plumbing with estimating experience, with a concentration in commercial, multifamily, hotels, and assisted living estimating.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field (preferred).
- Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in construction software, including Bluebeam, QuoteSoft, and other relevant tools.
- Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Problem Solving: Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
- Basic Proficiency in English required. Candidates must have a basic understanding of English for safety purposes and to communicate with colleagues, vendors, and contractors on-site effectively. The ability to follow instructions and engage with the team is essential for success in this role.
