Responsibilities:
- Routine Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance tasks on trucks and rental equipment according to manufacturer guidelines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
- Diagnostic Testing: Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues with engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and other components. Utilize diagnostic equipment and tools to pinpoint problems accurately.
- Repairs: Repair and replace faulty or worn-out parts such as brakes, steering systems, suspension components, and electrical systems. Ensure all repairs are completed efficiently and effectively to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshooting: Investigate and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues reported by drivers or rental customers. Develop effective solutions to resolve problems promptly and prevent recurrence.
- Safety Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of trucks and rental equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. Address any safety concerns or violations promptly to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient operations
- Providing excellent customer service and assistance
Requirements:
- Experience working as a mechanic, preferably with a focus on trucks and heavy equipment. Experience with rental equipment maintenance is a plus.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and mechanical components.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have a valid driver's license and transportation to and from work.
