Packaging Team Member -Seasonal, Full, Part

This role supports Cocoa Dolce’s systems, principles, and culture by protecting product quality through careful packaging and presentation. The Packaging Team Member builds, packs, and labels finished chocolates to company, client, and guest standards, keeps packaging and finished-goods transactions accurate, and assists with fulfillment and inventory projects. The position follows sanitation, allergen, OSHA, and FDA requirements, reports product or inventory issues to management, and assists Logistics and Production as needed.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB TASKS

• Accurately build, pack, and label finished products according to requirements, order information, and pack standards

• Complete ERP processes for keeping manufacturing, transfers, and inventory accurate

• Support packaging and order fulfillment to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production and packaging goals

• Assist with inventory counts, packaging-material preparation, and project setup for seasonal and custom orders

• Follow quality standards, company systems, procedures, and policies, including allergen control, OSHA, FDA, and other applicable regulations

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packaging area and follow proper sanitary practices, including handwashing, glove use, etc

• Communicate promptly with management, including reporting product discrepancies, packaging defects, or product-quality issues

• Build collection boxes, mixes, bars, sets to company visual standards, including inserts, and band labeling

• Inspect finished product appearance, weight, and seal quality before handoff to Logistics

• Rotate finished goods using FIFO, and report shortages before they affect fulfillment

• Assist Logistics and Production as needed


GUEST SERVICE/INTERACTION: Daily face-to-face interaction with Production, Logistics, and other staff throughout the organization. Frequent face-to-face interaction with management to exchange information and complete work tasks. Phone and email interaction as needed.


EDUCATION:

• High School diploma or GED, preferred

SKILLS:

• Ability to use packaging tools and equipment

EXPERIENCE:

• At least 16 years of age

• Previous packaging, production, or food-handling experience, preferred


LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

• Drivers license, required

• Adequate driving record, preferred

• Food handlers course completion, required



PHYSICAL:

• Requires regular bending, stooping, twisting, and repetitive hand motion, and the ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, work in close quarters with others, and use fine motor skill to place and finish fragile product. Must be able to visualize the computer screen and perform data entry.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Standing and moving about in the packaging and production area is required up to 100% of the time, including cooler temperatures used to protect product

• Requires the ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays

• Requires the flexibility to work extending hours or shifts for peak seasons
