Duties and Responsibilities
● Perform general Maintenance works to avoid possible failures and malfunctions
● Assist in developing preventive and corrective maintenance programs
● Complete daily work assignments in a timely and accurate manner
● Analyze repair requests and troubleshoot them
● Perform machine fabrications
● Perform installations, assembling, fittings, repairs, and replacements as needed
● Handle emergency maintenance and repair works
● Stock adequate maintenance materials and equipment to avoid shortages and excesses
● Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary
● Operate maintenance equipment safely to avoid accidents
● Maintain the maintenance tools and equipment in safe, clean, and good working conditions.
● Provide assistance to co- workers when needed
● Adhere to company policies, safety regulations, OSHA, GMP, and SQF Standards
● Uphold attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work under pressure with constant deadlines
● Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area
Qualifications
- Bilingual – Spanish is a plus, but not required
- At least one (1) year of experience as a mechanic
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must pass a Motor Vehicle Check
- Forklift experience is a plus, but not required. Willingness to learn Forklift required
- Experience with Excel, Email, Word
Physical Demands of the Position
- Constant standing, walking, bending, etc.
- Occasional lifting and moving of various mechanical parts (up to 50lbs)
- Senses: Hearing, sight (near, far), smell
Environmental Factors
- Exposure to noise, heat, dust, and fumes
- Rolling conveyors and forklifts present
Pay is between $25-$30
