MISSION OF THE ROLE
The Assistant Manager supports the Café Manager in executing daily operations and developing team members. This role helps ensure shifts run smoothly while maintaining service quality, food standards, and team accountability.
Assistant Managers are developing leaders preparing for the Café Manager role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Shift Leadership
• Support daily café operations
• Lead shifts when assigned
• Maintain speed, accuracy, and quality standards
• Ensure team members follow procedures and policies
Team Development
• Assist with onboarding and training new team members
• Reinforce operational standards and recipes
• Provide coaching and guidance during shifts
• Support leadership development across the team
Operations Execution
• Maintain cleanliness and organization standards
• Monitor food safety and sanitation compliance
• Assist with inventory and supply management
• Support scheduling and labor management
Guest Service
• Ensure guests receive fast and friendly service
• Resolve guest concerns professionally
• Maintain a positive team environment
QUALIFICATIONS
• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Leadership potential and willingness to grow
• ServSafe Certified
