Our cafés run fast, clean, and efficient — and we’re looking for a motivated Assistant Manager who thrives in a high-energy environment and wants to help lead a winning team.
As an Assistant Manager, you are the backbone of day-to-day operations. You support the Café Manager, lead shifts, coach the crew, and take ownership of service speed, food quality, and overall café performance.
What You’ll Do
Daily Operations
- Run high-volume, fast-paced shifts with confidence
- Ensure all stations meet brand standards for quality, prep, portioning, and safety
- Keep the café clean, stocked, organized, and guest-ready
- Assign positions and manage break schedules
- Perform opening/closing procedures with accuracy and accountability
- Place inventory orders
- Assign cleaning tasks and perform follow-up
Team Leadership
- Coach crew members/shift leaders to brand standards
- Help train new crew members/shift leaders when necessary
- Maintain a positive, energetic culture on every shift
- Lead by example with high urgency, accuracy, and professionalism
- Redirect performance issues quickly and respectfully
- Support new hires through onboarding and daily skill development
Guest Experience
- Deliver “Unparalleled Hospitality” on every shift
- Handle customer concerns with confidence and solutions
- Ensure ticket times stay fast and service remains friendly
Financial & Administrative Responsibilities
- Count tills, manage drawers, troubleshoot POS issues, and deliver bank deposits
- Assist with labor management and shift-level scheduling decisions
- Support food & paper inventory counts and waste reduction
- Protect the brand and business through proper food safety execution
What We’re Looking For
- Prior leadership experience in food service, retail, or hospitality
- Strong communication and accountability skills
- Ability to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed
- High personal integrity, reliable work ethic, and willingness to hustle
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Enjoys coaching, teaching, and helping others improve
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand/walk for 6–8 hours
- Lift up to 25 lbs (stocking, ice, trash, deliveries)
- Work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
