Accounting Manager

The Stand is seeking a process-oriented Accounting Manager to support the Company’s accounting function in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving restaurant environment. Reporting to the Controller, this role is responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information and prepare accurate, timely financial reports and statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger activity, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Prepare daily cash reporting and perform bank reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Complete balance sheet account reconciliations on a pre-established schedule
- Manage accounting for fixed assets and intercompany transactions
- Support quarterly, annual, and interim internal and external audits, including audit schedules and responses to auditor inquiries
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate and timely accounting data
- Participate in ad hoc projects to support the finance and accounting team
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience; restaurant or food & beverage industry experience strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of internal controls and auditing processes
- Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably within a restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial statement preparation, and internal controls
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including large datasets and pivot tables
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively across departments
