Job Summary
We’re seeking an experienced Restaurant Host to manage guest flow, reservations, and the front-of-house experience during service. This role is critical to the success of the dining room and requires someone who is calm under pressure, organized, and hospitality-driven.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests professionally and efficiently
- Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists accurately
- Control table pacing to support kitchen and service flow
- Communicate wait times clearly and honestly
- Coordinate closely with servers, bartenders, and management
- Handle guest questions and minor concerns with confidence
- Maintain a clean, organized host stand and entry area
- Answer phones and manage incoming inquiries
Requirements
- 2+ years hosting experience in a full-service or high-volume restaurant
- Strong understanding of table management and pacing
- Experience with reservation systems (OpenTable, Resy, Tock preferred)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and stay composed in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and demeanor
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience handling busy services and long waitlists
- Familiarity with POS and reservation platforms
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
