ROVER OAKS PET RESORT is the premier pet resort in Houston and Katy for boarding, training, daycare and grooming. Our Houston location near NRG Stadium is seeking experienced dog Daycare Counselors to help run the dog daycare play groups and provide exceptional care of the pets.  This position would require working weekends and holidays.  We are hiring for full-time positions that include weekend hours.

The Dog Daycare Supervisor is a ‘working’ supervisor position, responsible for the overall day to day operations of the Dog Daycare Program. The Dog Daycare Supervisor must be experienced in dog behavior and pack dynamics in order to maintain a healthy and safe environment for pets and employees. They must ensure that employees are following policies and adhering to procedures, completing duties, also well-trained and confident in their dog management skills.

Primary responsibilities include assisting with maintaining the health, safety, and comfort of pets attending the Dog Daycare Program at Rover Oaks, maintaining high levels of customer service at all times, and reporting maintenance issues and suggesting improvements to the dog parks, daycare facilities, and equipment. The position includes working in both the large dog, small dog, and group play programs.

Qualifications:

- At least 1-2 years' experience in a professional pet care environment preferred.

- Supervisory experience preferred.

- Positive outgoing personality and excellent customer service skills.

- Physically capable of securing and handling large dogs.

Daily Duties:

-Maintain staffing needs such that a safe and recommended ratio of counselors to number of dogs is maintained

-Assist with the performance of daycare team members, ongoing training, and serve as a role model for daycare counselor, daycare coordinator, and other employees to follow.

-Assist with communicating procedures and pertinent information to staff.

-Perform the duties of a Dog Daycare Counselor and the Daycare Coordinator as required

- Take pet photos and alert the marketing team to social media story opportunities

- Ensure the dogs feel at home and loved by providing attention and cuddles whenever possible.
