Custodian Supervisor

Position Summary

The Custodian Supervisor is responsible for leading and supporting daily custodial operations to ensure our teams consistently meet Del Sol standards and client expectations.

This is a hands-on leadership position requiring strong communication, accountability, organization, and attention to detail. The Custodian Supervisor is expected to lead from the front, provide clear direction to employees, identify and correct performance issues, and communicate proactively with management.

The successful candidate will take ownership of their team's daily performance while creating a professional, safe, and productive work environment.

Operational Leadership & Execution

  • Oversee and support daily cleaning operations to ensure all assigned work is completed efficiently, accurately, and on schedule using the proper equipment and supplies.
  • Provide employees with clear daily direction, assignments, and expectations.
  • Conduct routine walkthroughs and quality inspections to verify completion of work, identify deficiencies, and ensure alignment with Del Sol standards and client expectations.
  • Address cleaning deficiencies promptly and follow up to ensure corrective actions have been completed.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing coverage for each shift and immediately communicate shortages, call-outs, or schedule changes to management.
  • Step in and provide hands-on operational support when necessary to maintain service levels and meet client expectations.

Training, Coaching & Team Development

  • Train, coach, and guide team members on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, proper equipment use, chemical handling, and site-specific expectations.
  • Clearly communicate performance standards and consistently follow up on gaps in training, performance, or understanding.
  • Provide employees with constructive feedback and coaching to improve individual and team performance.
  • Identify recurring performance or behavioral concerns and escalate them appropriately to management.
  • Lead by example through professionalism, attendance, accountability, communication, and a positive attitude.

Communication & Reporting

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the custodial team during assigned operations.
  • Escalate operational barriers, staffing concerns, employee issues, customer concerns, and urgent situations to the direct manager in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Communicate schedule changes, staffing needs, and important site updates proactively and professionally.
  • Maintain consistent communication with management regarding the overall performance and needs of the operation.
  • Properly document and escalate serious employee or operational issues to HR or Management in accordance with company protocols.

Supply & Equipment Management

  • Monitor supply levels and product usage to ensure employees have the materials necessary to complete their assigned work.
  • Submit supply and equipment orders accurately and consistently by designated deadlines.
  • Help control unnecessary product usage and waste.
  • Ensure company equipment is properly operated, cleaned, maintained, and stored.
  • Promptly communicate damaged, missing, or malfunctioning equipment to management.

Compliance, Safety & Standards

  • Monitor and enforce all company policies, procedures, safety protocols, and performance standards.
  • Ensure employees follow proper cleaning procedures, chemical-use requirements, PPE requirements, and site-specific safety protocols.
  • Address non-compliance promptly and escalate repeated or serious issues to management.
  • Promote a work environment focused on safe work habits and responsible equipment and chemical use.
  • Ensure the team maintains a professional appearance and conduct while working at client facilities.

Work schedule

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Supplemental pay
