**Overview:**
We are looking for a dedicated Custodian to join our custodial team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure that our facilities, including buildings, parking lots, and parking garages, are clean, safe, and well-maintained. This role is essential for creating a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Perform general cleaning and maintenance tasks in assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common spaces.
- Clean and maintain parking lots and parking garages, including trash removal, sweeping, and pressure washing as needed.
- Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables from buildings, parking lots, and garages.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment are used properly and maintained in good condition.
- Assist in setting up and taking down facilities for events, meetings, and special occasions.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Custodian Supervisor promptly.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Work collaboratively with other custodial staff to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain a positive attitude and provide excellent customer service to building occupants and visitors.
**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Good communication skills to interact with supervisors and team members.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks, including bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation to commute to and from work.
**Preferred Skills:**
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
- Basic knowledge of safety protocols related to cleaning and maintenance work.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new cleaning methods and techniques.
