Schedule: Part-Time (10-20 hours/week), up to 80 hours/month
Job Summary
Ziggi’s Coffee is seeking a curious, enthusiastic in-house PR & Communications Intern to join us at our headquarters in Mead, CO. This paid, part-time internship is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on, real-world experience in a fast-paced, franchise-driven environment with one of the country’s fastest-growing coffee brands.
Reporting to the Director of Communications, you’ll play a hands-on role in supporting both local and national PR efforts – while learning how to build meaningful media relationships, support brand campaigns, and contribute to impactful storytelling.
The position runs through February 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft press releases, media alerts, and pitch letters for store openings, seasonal campaigns, and brand initiatives.
- Research and update media and influencer contact lists.
- Monitor media coverage and assist in tracking PR performance metrics.
- Build relationships with media outlets by assisting in outreach, follow-ups, and tracking engagement.
- Support planning and execution of PR outreach for franchise locations and national initiatives.
- Contribute to influencer programs, including coordinator, fulfillment, and evaluation.
- Assist with internal communication materials and cross-functional messaging needs.
- Provide support for online community management.
- Participate in campaign brainstorms and planning meetings as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Currently enrolled in – or recently graduated from – a college or university program (Communications, PR, Journalism, Marketing, or related field).
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Self-starter who is proactive and eager to learn.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and social media platforms.
- Passion for storytelling, building relationships, branding, and (of course) coffee.

Physical Demands
The employee is required to frequently stand, walk, sit, use hand and fingers, reach and lift with arms, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is required to frequently lift up to 30 pounds without assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
Consistent travel between Ziggi’s Coffee locations, including locations in Colorado and other states. Works indoors in a standard office and coffee shop environment. May required work outdoors in various weather environments including extreme heat or extreme cold.
